We went to my mom's at Mtn.View for our first Thanksgiving dinner with my family from Springfield, MO. Saturday. Me and Terry took the truck through the car wash. As we came out I looked over at the bank and saw this, ride thru banking, LOL, only in Mtn.View, home of the Folk Festival and Bean Festival!! This cowboy knows how beat the high gas prices!

altered desk calendar & SCS member company

I got this wooden calendar/note set at Wal-Mart. It was plain wood, there were numbers stamped on the cubes and the month's stamped on the long blocks, but I covered those up. The two long blocks on the outside are stored behind the January block, I just wanted you to see them. I painted the ends of the long blocks and edges of the holder with Making Memories paint, after that dried I painted on the Tattered Rose Distress Crackle Paint by Ranger, LOVE this stuff, it instantly makes what you're working on vintage!

I used a chipboard piece from the new soon to be released Sweet Chips chipboard pieces by Crafty Secrets. I stamped "Calendar" and the months from the Calendar set, the tiny rose from the Baby Girl set and the numbers on the cubes from the A Sexy Little Number set. All the stamps and patterned paper are by Crafty Secrets! I cut and glued on the papers from the Pastel Paper Pad. I also used buttons, rickrack and lace. There is a place behind the calendar chipboard piece that holds a notepad and pen. Now I'm all ready for 2008!!

Crafty Secrets is a new Member Company now on SCS! You need to go over there and check it out. You'll find all the latest on Crafty Secrets new releases and chit chat with Sandy Redburn the owner and design team members too! Believe me, you'll fall in love with all things Crafty Secrets, I did!

I hope y'all have a great relaxing weekend!
I'm going to do some Christmas shopping I think, ACK, not relaxing, huh? *grin*

Thanks for stopping by!

blue santa, Christmas balls, juicer and lamp

This Crafty Secret's Santa is my favorite Santa image evah!! There is just something about vintage Santa's and this one is just the way I picture Santa IRL *grin*. You can get this Vintage Christmas set from Crafty Secrets, Sassy & Sweet Crafts or ePaperie.

I cut an oval in the patterned paper from the Earthy Paper Pad and I cut a smaller oval from artichoke CS and layered it behind the patterned paper. I used a file from my Basic Grey file kit to rough up and curl the artichoke oval, I sprinkled on some yellow gold glitter. I sprayed the card with Snowflake Glimmer Mist. I stamped the Santa on vellum CS and colored the backside with Copic markers, I used Brilliance Moonlight White on Santa's hair and beard.

I did a little shopping Saturday. I got these little Christmas balls at a shop in Heber Springs. I got the old juicer at a yard sale, cool huh? The pink lamp is a vintage headboard lamp that you hang over the top of your headboard to read by. I have it hanging on a shelf in my stamp room. I remember my grandma had one of these. I love it!

Hanna needs it!

I thought this was a super fun set. How many times have we said or heard that phrase?
I got this Hanna Stamps set, But I Need It... with my Tis The Season set and decided I had to make a card with her! I used the SU! DS paper Cerise, it's all different patterns of Real Red & Vanilla, I love it! I finally used my Nestabilities, so easy and fun! I've got the large squares and rectangles, I think I need more, hee hee. I used my Copics to color Hanna and did paper piecing on her dress and bags. The sentiment is popped up.
Get your Hanna stamp sets from Hanna Stamps or eclecticPaperie.
TGIF!!! Man, I'm so glad it's Friday!
I hope y'all have a great weekend! I'm hoping to be stamping with some man stamps! YAY!!!!!!!
