fall

Hello!
I've got a couple of fall pages to show you today. I used the new Tim Holtz mini blue prints set along the edges of each page. Then I used Dylusions further round the edge, bits and bats, love struck lucy and say what you mean.
I started by spraying the pages with water and the Dylusion spray inks. I dries d the pages with my heat tool and then I laid my 5x8 dotted stencil on the pages and sprayed the pages with water and dryed, I love that look.
I had this idea of a tree changing to it's fall colors and then the leaves dropping off the tree.
I admit it was a lot of work cutting out the leaves, but, that's the look I wanted.
I painted the leaves with my water brushes filled with Dylusionals postbox red, squeezed orange, melted chocolate and pure sunshine. I used my SU! splatter stamp for the random speckles. I used Archival Jet Black and Coffee for my stamping.

It's time to do some Christmas art, Halloween and fall is over for me until next year!
I hope you enjoyed my pages, thanks for looking!

white iris

I decided to take a break from holiday art and made an iris journal layout.
I used Tim Holtz Fancy Flourish stamp set, it's by far one of my fave sets. The iris of course, and the sentiment makes you want to do something memorable each day!
I did my usual water and Dylusion spray inks in cut grass, vibrant turquoise, pure sunshine.
Then I used my Dylusions 5x8 luscious leaves stencil and traced the leaves with my black pen an colored the leaves with my fine tip water brush filled with cut grass ink.
I took a tag and added the inks and stamped the sentiment with Archival black ink and cut it off with my scalloped scissors. I put a white paper doily behind it.
I traced around the tag with my tracing wheel and filled in the stitches with my Gelly Roll white pen.
I attached black rick rack with my tiny attacher. I made the book page flower with my tattered floral die and sprayed them with more inks and added a black button.
The white iris is stamped right on the page with VersaMark and embossed with white embossing powder.
The striped "iris" was cut with my chip block alpha die from black cardstock and striped with my white pen.

Inspiration Emporium Autumn

Hi friends!
Today I'm showing you the new Inspiration Emporium monthly challenge. It's fall place settings.
I eat winter green Altoids like candy, LOVE them. I was really having a hard time with this challenge, couldn't think of a thing to do, then I spotted the Altoids tin box, aha! What would be better than a box of mints at each persons place setting?
I used a piece of core-dinations cardstock and stamped the words stamp on it from Tim Holtz's Apothecary set with Ranger Distress Black Soot ink. Then I ran it through my Big Shot between the wood grain texture fade.I sanded it a little with my sanding grip to give it some wear.
I cut a piece of lace with my Alterations vintage lace die and put it around the bottom edge of the tin.
The lid edge is a blue color, that wouldn't match at all so, I used my silver acrylic paint dabber. I took the top off and painted it with a paint brush.
I cut my pine cones and leaves with my Alterations Tattered Pine Cone die.
I added some sparkle with diamond dust glitter, this is real glass shardes, talk about sparkly, it's beautiful. I got mine off eBay.
The little tag is stamped with SU! Rough Edges Alpha stamps.
I added 2 little Kaiser pearls.

I was SOOO excited to get my clutch in my box of goodies, I've been waiting awhile for this! It's my new make-up bag for my purse.
I had to glam up the zipper pull with some ideaology baubles and bead chain. Gorgeous!

Now, it's your turn, show off your autumn pretties at the Inspiration Emporium blog and see if you can win some IE $$$ to spend! Remember to use my coupon code IEIRISGARDEN for your 10% discount!
